The Council authorized the purchase of 5 police cars. Appointments to the Planning Commission, the Tree Board, and the Civil Service Commission were approved. The Council approved a $10,000 payment to honor the service members who died in the Itta Bena airplane crash. A consulting firm was paid $15,000 to study retail development in Greenwood. The Council authorized police officers to wear their uniforms and weapons when they perform private security duty.
