The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board voted to request an opinion from the Attorney General as to who represents the county's citizens on the new consolidated school board, citing confusion as to whether the county will have any input into the selection of the new superintendent of the combined public school system.
