The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

Various corrections to the tax rolls were brought to the Board by Tax Assessor Leroy Ware. Ed Hargett presented the quarterly report on the county jail. The water issues near Schlater were discussed. An agreement with Just in Time Music regarding the production at the old Florewood State Park was discussed. Financing for two long armed garbage trucks was approved. Sheriff Ricky Banks discussed the DoJ Bullet Proof vest grant. Jessie L. Williams was appointed as Assistant Comptroller. An appointment to the NCPD Executive Board was made.
