Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

A resolution for Dr. Dorothy Pernell was approved. Several requests from NCPDD were heard. Naomi Jones brought a discussion of bids to repair the library building. Another discussion of the unpaid Pure Air invoices took place. The Board discussed the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. Sheriff Ricky Banks brought several hirings and salary adjustments to the Board for approval. The Board considered an agreement with the Secretary of State regarding hiring of additional poll workers for the presidential election. The Board went into executive session to discuss various personnel matters and the crime issue in Leflore County.
