Greenwood City Council

The Greenwood City Council is the legislative body that governs the city of Greenwood. The executive power is held by a Mayor who is elected by the people every four years, along with the seven council members. The City Council generally meets twice each month at the City Hall.

The Council held its monthly hearing on dilapidated properties. A representative of the DOC requested to purchase the old CWC building for a probation and parole office. Jason Studley, GLH CEO, made a presentation. The Council considered a resolution to monitor electric fences. A resolution to pave an alley behind East Adams Avenue was approved.
