Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board approved tax exemptions for Heartland Catfish and Blue Ridge Beef. Circuit Clerk Elmus Stockstill requested that the special election for Election Commission Districts 4 and 5 be cancelled. The Board approved an ordinance to collect property taxes for the city of Greenwood. The Board went into executive session to discuss possible litigation and a personnel matter. The Engineer requested permission to advertise for 12 month bids, and to purchase pumps for Riverside Drive and approval of the estimate for repair of CR 526.
