Greenwood City Council

The Greenwood City Council is the legislative body that governs the city of Greenwood. The executive power is held by a Mayor who is elected by the people every four years, along with the seven council members. The City Council generally meets twice each month at the City Hall.

The Council heard a presentation on collection of delinquent accounts. A wireless communications proposal was described for Wright Place and Fulton Street. Two dilapidated properties matters were addressed. A resolution was offered to give North Greenwood Baptist Church $2000 to help sponsor an appearance by Tim Tebow. A proposal to amend the Code of Ordinances regarding the permit fee for signage was considered.
