The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Code Enforcement Officer held two public hearings. The Board received an update on the Bike, Blues and Bayous event. Mike Slaughter made a proposal regarding a possible need to redistrict the county for voting purposes. The solid waste department brought forward several items of business. John Ray of Just in Time Music made a presentation regarding use of Florewood Park for music events. Alonzo Lewis presented his concerns about trash, dead animals, and dogs running loose in Sidon. A discussion about cleaning up the old hospital and CWC sites took place. A purchase order was issued for payment of the 9 foot bronze statue for Emmett Till. Appointments were made to the Minter City Water and Sewer Board. The engineer presented several right of ways for approval, as well as an estimate of costs necessary to repair Carrollton Avenue.
