The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The board voted to approve proposals for county insurance policies. The board voted to approve the expenditure of approximately $5.5 million of the "allowance for revenue loss" from the Treasury Department for "general services." The board heard objections to the tax roll and approved the final real and personal rolls. Mike Slaughter came to discuss preparing a preliminary plan for redistricting the supervisor, justice court, and constable districts. Re-opening the employee entrance of the courthouse was discussed. A resolution was adopted honoring Mrs. Thelma Sims. Several salary and personnel changes in the sheriff's department were approved.
