The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

Chancery Clerk Johnny Gary updated the board on the status of the county's audits. Minutes for May and June 2022 were approved. Two personnel changes for the Juvenile Detention Facility were approved. A new hire for the Civic Center / Agri Center was approved. A possible FAA grant for the airport was discussed. An ordinance enforcement hearing was held. Two new hires by the Sheriff were approved. The engineer gave a report on modernizing the elevator at the Juvenile Center. The Board went into Executive Session to discuss hiring a consultant to review the proposed hospital lease agreement. The board voted to hire the consultant, with Sam Abraham casting the lone vote against the hiring.
