Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The board considered approval of the minutes from October 3 and October 10, 2022.

An over payment by the Tax Collector during the month of September was refunded by the county.

A dispute between Supervisor Sam Abraham and Chancery Clerk Johnny Gary erupted. The matter was an item that Mr. Abraham wanted added to the agenda before the meeting, which was left off.

Abraham moved that the board go forward with re-advertising the RFP for the hospital. The motion was passed unanimously.

Judge James Littleton requested a funding increase for court expenses and salaries.

Chancery Court Judge Willie J. Perkins, Sr. brought forward a pay increase of the Court Administrator and Law Clerk.

A discussion took place regarding surveillance cameras.

The board went into executive session to discuss several personnel matters.
