The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The board discussed the issues of budget overruns. Chancery Clerk Johnny Gary provided an update on the ARPA funds and bank account. Beth Stevens presented a report from the Chamber of Commerce.
District One supervisor Sam Abraham brought forward his motion to support introduction of local and private legislation to authorize the county to levy an additional 5 mills of property tax to support and back borrowing by the Greenwood Leflore Hospital in order for GLH to remain open. Abraham stated that the hospital would run out of money by the end of March otherwise. The board expressed concerns about whether it is a prudent act to take.
Jean Cadney requested that the county sponsor MVSU's Awards Gala event. The engineer presented estimates for projects to improve a number of streets and bridges in the county.
