The council heard a request from the humane society to donate the old CWC building. Several other people appeared to request help with various festivals and events.

The council carried on a long discussion about the county's request that the city fund one third of the $20,000 cost to have an outside person audit the hospital. The consensus was that most of the council members oppose paying for another audit, when the hospital is regularly audited by reputable outside audit firms.

Angela Curry came to present a possible expansion for a local company in executive session.

The council discussed an ordinance to annex areas around the city. The council donated $5,000 to the MVSU Awards Gala. A litigation settlement in the opioid lawsuits against various drug stores was approved. The council voted to close part of George Street.
