The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The board held a special budget meeting with department heads.
Trey Hairston from Butler Snow and Jamie Holloway presented an engagement letter to allow them to begin work on the $10 million line of credit for the hospital. The money will not be available until June 1. The tentative interest rate is over 6%. The millage rate may be 5 mills for ten years. The county will be borrowing the money, not the hospital.
The board voted unanimously to authorize the attorneys to proceed, subject to a review and approval of the contract by the board attorney.
