The board approved the January minutes on a 3-2 vote, with Abraham and Brown voting no.

The board received an update on the ARPA funds that are still left. The board voted to move a block of those funds into another budget fund to facilitate the payment of the claims to be paid out of ARPA funds.

Two new part time officers were hired for the juvenile detention facility.

Several resolutions recommended by the NCPDD officials were adopted.

The board imposed a $200 fee for using the Florewood Park.

Approval to purchase two hydraulic pumps for the solid waste department was given.

The board went into executive session twice. At the second one, the board discussed various concerns with the paperwork on the proposed $10 million loan for the Greenwood Leflore Hospital, including issues with the proposed rate sheet, but no action was taken.

The board discussed problems with fire service in the county. The city of Greenwood fire department has a contract with the county to work fires outside but close to the city limits. However, it appears that the city fire department is no longer being dispatched to those fires as of two or three weeks ago. No resolution of this problem was reached at the meeting.
