Troy Brown addressed the council about the hospital board appointment to be voted upon later during the meeting.
A long slate of reappointments to various city offices was approved.
The council voted to approve several donations to local events.
The council voted to reappoint Fire Chief Marcus Banks to the Greenwood Leflore Hospital board. Ward 6 member Dorothy Glenn cast the sole vote against the reappointment. The supervisors last week voted to appoint Margie Pulley to the same position by a 3-2 vote, so at present the council and supervisors cannot agree as to the joint appointment to the hospital board.
