The board discussed methods of clearing out invasive plants from various lakes in the county. Blue Lake was specifically brought up by supervisor Robert Collins. The plants cover the lake surface, causing oxygen levels to fall, and causing more sediments to collect, which reduces the volume of water the lake can hold during heavy rains. This can result in flooding of nearby homes and businesses. Collins wondered whether the plants could be poisoned, but supervisor Eric Mitchell suggested using a mechanical method of removing the plants.

Supervisor Anjuan Brown asked whether County Administrator Johnny Gary had located a county employee to collect various fines and fees owed to the county. Gary stated that he had located a current employee in the tax collector's office for the job. Brown stated that fines owed to Justice Court exceeded $170,000, while overdue garbage collection fees top $1.9 million.
