The council held its regular monthly hearing on dilapidated properties. The council voted to follow the recommendation of Betty Stigler to demolish six houses whose owners had failed to bring them up to code, and because they were deemed to be a menace to the health and safety of the community.
Mayor McAdams reported that the boat dock project will be proceeding now that a bid has been awarded to the construction company.
Hank Hargrove was reappointed to the hospital board of trustees.
