Greenwood City Council

The Greenwood City Council is the legislative body that governs the city of Greenwood. The executive power is held by a Mayor who is elected by the people every four years, along with the seven council members. The City Council generally meets twice each month at the City Hall.

The council held its monthly hearing on dilapidated properties.

The Butler Snow attorney brought before the council a resolution needed to move the TIP Bond Issue forward for the Landing project.

Greenwood Utilities requested that Wright Place be made a one-way street in order to make the heavy use of the drive-through at its office safer and more efficient.

John Ray appeared before the council to ask for support for the Downhome Blues Event.

The council approved reappointment of many officials that serve one year terms.
