Greenwood City Council

The Greenwood City Council is the legislative body that governs the city of Greenwood. The executive power is held by a Mayor who is elected by the people every four years, along with the seven council members. The City Council generally meets twice each month at the City Hall.

The council held a very brief hearing on dilapidated properties.

The council approved the reappointment of four members to the Historic Preservation Commission.

The council heard from half a dozen persons during the public agenda portion of the meeting, including attorney Tray Hairston about some matters involving the TIF projects and bonds.
