More Leflore County Candidates Qualify

K. K. Henderson Kent, proprietor of KK's Deli in Greenwood, has qualified to run for District 5 Supervisor as an Independent candidate. She will face off against the incumbent, Robert Collins, and Democrat candidate Larry "Kite" Johnson, the former district 5 supervisor.

The deadline for filing to run for office this cycle was Friday, February 27th at 5 p.m.

Four candidates have filed to run for Chancery Clerk now that Sam Abraham is not seeking re-election to that office. Democrat candidates are Christine Lymon (a long-time employee in the office), Reginald Moore, and Johnny Lee Gary Jr. Troy Brown Sr. has filed to run as an Independent candidate.

Huntley Nevels is challenging Vonzell Self for Constable as an Independent candidate.

Independent candidate Mary Roberson is challenging incumbent Elmus Stockstill for Circuit Clerk.

Larry "Blue" Neal will seek to re-capture the Justice Court Judgeship from Carlos Palmer.

Kelvin Cedell Pulley is challenging James Littleton for Justice Court Judge.
