The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board approved a $4.6 million property tax exemption for Milwaukee Tools. The Board authorized negotiations to purchase the Maxey store in Swiftown to preserve it as a voting precinct polling station. The Board considered objections to the property tax rolls. It also heard a presentation by Lee Abraham about selling buses purchased by his transportation company using MDEZA grant monies.
