The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board discussed the advertising for professional services on the Viking Road project. A dispute took place over changing language to favor minority participation. Approval was given to appoint a special prosecutor to handle a case from which the County Prosecutor had recused himself. A discussion regarding possible litigation over the landfill contract was had.
