The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board received bids for an incident command/communication trailer for Emergency Preparedness. Various tax exemptions and incentives for Raybestos LLC were approved. Mr. Irvin Bullet presented information about creating a county web site. The MDCIIC Loan Program was discussed. Several items relating to the CDBG grant for the Wildwood Gin project were approved. A Resolution for Elder Aaron Johnson was adopted. The Board discussed the need to pay Attorney Ronald Welch to inspect the county jail for compliance with the Gates prison case. The removal of trees off Browning Road was discussed. The Board went into Executive Session to discuss litigation issues.
