Greenwood City Council

The Greenwood City Council is the legislative body that governs the city of Greenwood. The executive power is held by a Mayor who is elected by the people every four years, along with the seven council members. The City Council generally meets twice each month at the City Hall.

The Council held its monthly hearing for dilapidated housing. A request was received by the Levee Lounge to allow it to remain open later than 1 a.m. for the service of alcoholic beverages. The Council voted to advertise the sale of an additional $2 million in GO bonds for street and park improvements.
