The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board discussed the 2006-2007 fiscal year budget. The various departmental figures were discussed, along with the bottom line issues of millage rates. Sam Abraham stated that at least $400,000 would need to be cut or a general fund tax increase would have to be levied.
