Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board opened bids for fuel. Certain items were deleted from the county property inventory. Edwina McCain requested use of the court house steps for the National Day of Prayer for the Mentally Ill on October 3. A tax exemption for Milwaukee Tool was approved. Resolutions to move forward with construction of an equipment storage building for the Volunteer Fire Department were approved. Several matters were presented by T. W. Cooper regarding Emergency Management. Invoices for the Home Grant were approved. Various last minute transfers and budget adjustments were made to close out the fiscal year. A memorandum of understanding was approved with Three Rivers Community and Economic Development Corporation.
