The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board heard a request from Itta Bena Mayor Thelma Collins for help in developing a park. Several matters related to Josh Brown's Home Investment Partnership Program were handled. A request was heard to lease the Vocational Rehabilitation Building. The Board approved a contract with the State Wildlife Fisheries and Parks for the county to operate a state park at the former Florewood State Park location. The Board adopted a resolution supporting locating a Civil Rights Museum at the old Florewood property. The Board took up again the matter of the one dollar parking fee at the Civic Center. The Board discussed enforcement of the Dog and Hog ordinances recently adopted.
