The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board discussed cleanup of property owned by Carter Gaston. Susan Montgomery presented a proposal to purchase advertising in the upcoming issue of Leflore Magazine. Cynthia Wilson presented a proposal to revitalize the C&G Railroad by creating a regional rail authority and seeking federal transportation grants. Jim Bennett of Time Warner Cable appeared to discuss the franchise agreement for cable right-of-way on county properties. The Board voted to participate and assist in the Choctaw Indian Land Access Road project. A discussion of the Business Incubator and the removal of Three Rivers equipment with county resources took place.
