The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board accepted a bid for the $400,000 note to finance the repaving of the Civic Center parking lots. The bids for demolition of the old livestock barn were discussed. Mr. Claude Bourgeois discussed the problems of the Delta Apartments which is in bankruptcy and looking for a new owner. The Board took up the matter of the closing of county road 90. Various resolutions relating to the property tax collection and the disbursement of various special assessments were adopted. The budget of the Hospital was taken up.
