The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board heard a presentation from Derrick Simpson regarding a music festival to be held at the airport. Resolutions were adopted for issuing general obligation bonds up to $2,316,000. The Board tabled discussion of the purchase of the spec building from the Industrial Foundation. The Board voted to approve $7,500 in support for the Junior 4-H Livestock program.
