The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board heard a presentation from Beth Stevens about the Stars and Stripes celebration for this July 4th season. Several bills related to the peanut processing facility were paid. The Board voted to grant the Browning Progressive Civic League use of the park and a sponsorship. Jimmy Gibson was appointed department head of Solid Waste. A request for help paving the parking lot at Leflore County High School was tabled.
