The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board heard a presentation from Dean Pennington with the Yazoo Mississippi Delta Joint Water Management District about the dangers of a proposal to require all water wells be metered. John Coleman came to discuss barge loading on the Yazoo River for the Corn Storage facility in the Rising Sun Industrial Park. NCPDD representatives presented several items of business relating to various grants. A contentious discussion took place about the County Administrator's power to issue contracts for services under $50,000. A dispute took place regarding continued funding of the North Central Mississippi Narcotics task force. The Board went into Executive Session to discuss the lien placed upon NCMNTF's bank account due to the recent ruling that it must return $46000 in conficated money and property to two citizens.
