The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board received an update on the band festival from Beth Stevens. Mayor Thelma Colllins presented requests from the city of Itta Bena for assistance from the county. John Coleman brought a discussion of the corn grain terminal project. Sam McNair requested that the Fuller Homes projects be exempt from property taxes. Bertrand Cowan requested Board support for opening a grocery store in Itta Bena. Abe Hudson discussed a proposal for lobbying services for the county. Emergency Management director Troy Brown brought forward a discussion of the missing items from his department's inventory. Tax exemption for the peanut project property was approved. An agreement between the county and the conservator for the Leflore County Schools was brought before the Board.
