A proclamation congratulating the GHS football team for its championship win was adopted.
Mark Garriga of the law firm of Butler Snow requested that the council hire his firm to "represent Greenwood" in the election contest between Sheriel Perkins and Carolyn McAdams. Greenwood has not been sued and is not a party to the litigation. The Council voted 3 to 1 to pay Mrs. McAdams' legal bills by means of this subterfuge. David Jordan voted no, Andrew Powell, Johnny Jennings, and Lisa Cookston voted yes, and the rest of the members abstained.
Various appointments and re-appointments to city boards were approved.
