Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board voted to settle the claims against the Canadian National railroad company for the derailment that damaged county property and roads. The Board voted to lease farm acreage to Dr. Harold Wheeler. Sylvester Hoover requested support for his blues festival. The proposed legislative consolidation of the city and county schools was discussed but no action was taken.
