The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board went into executive session to discuss potential litigation relating to the medical and mental health treatment procedures for the juvenile detention facility. The matter was brought before them by County and Youth Court Judge Kevin Adams.
A resolution was adopted opposing the merger of the Greenwood and Leflore County Public School districts, with Sam Abraham casting the lone vote against it.
