The Board heard a presentation from Hospital CEO Jim Jackson regarding the hospital budget, cost cutting, the sharp revenue fall-off, and the prospects for re-opening a holding facility for mentally disturbed persons. The Board of Supervisors consensus view appeared to be that it wants the Hospital to re-open the ward no matter what it costs, at the Hospital's expense.
Various bids for supplies and services were opened.
The Board went into executive session to discuss a matter relating to the road department, but no action was taken.
