At tonight's Greenwood Leflore Hospital Board of Trustees meeting, it was reported that in April, the hospital lost $787,000.
Since the beginning of this fiscal year (which began October 1, 2018), the hospital has lost $3.4 million. In the same period last year, the losses were $4.9 million.
Although the hospital's cash balance has decreased $2.7 million for this fiscal year, the cash balance rose $617,000 in April.
The bottom line analysis is that the hospital is still losing significant amounts of money, but not as much as in the previous fiscal year.
The Board went into executive session for 40 minutes, excluding the public and the press from the meeting.
