Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The Board again discussed the internet tax that has been collected by the state and earmarked for county use. Tax Assessor Leroy Ware brought forward the equalization of the property tax rolls for the supervisors to consider. A public hearing was held on various zoning variances. Jane Moss appeared to discuss safety concerns on Viking Road. Renewals of various insurance policies were discussed. A plan for redistricting the supervisor and justice court districts was discussed. A hearing was held on show cause notices regarding dilapidated properties. A bid was considered for the replacement of an HVAC system at the Health Department. Estimates for repairs and improvements in Rising Sun were approved.
