The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

Several presentations regarding county insurance policies were heard. The proposal to advertise for RFPs for the lease of the hospital was approved unanimously. The board took up the proposal from John Ray of Just in Time Music, Inc. regarding a contract for musical performances at Florewood. Ed Hargett came to discuss the Inmate Housing Agreement. Several approvals to hire new employees and grant raises to current employees were adopted. Preliminary engineering estimates were presented by the county engineer for work on Hodges Drive, Downing Drive, North High Street, Forrest Avenue, Robert E Lee Drive, and CR 30. Lease purchase of a motor grader was approved for the lowest bid.
