Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The board had presented for approval four sets of minutes from its September meetings.

Judge W. M. Sanders brought before the board the need to hire an assistant court administrator.

A county ordinance show cause hearing was held about dilapidated properties.

The Pitney Bowes postage machine came up for contract renewal.

An update on the hospital situation was scheduled to take place.

A replacement Justice Court Judge must be appointed to take Judge Littleton's place, as he will be moving up as judge of the County Court in January.

Brandice Brown presented her "Winter Wonderland" event to the board.

Sheriff Ricky Banks requested that the board approve the hiring of James Payne Jr. as a deputy sheriff.

The engineer presented plats and diagrams for the relocation of Delta Electric Power Association lines for the Viking project.
