The board finally approved the February and March 2023 minutes.
Chancery Clerk Johnny Gary gave the board an update on the air conditioning issues. They do not appear to be comopletely resolved yet.
Tax Assessor Leroy Ware presented the new property rolls, and the board voted to begin the equalization process required by law.
Sandra Chase from Operation Peace Treaty asked the board for a contribution. The board approved a $500 contribution at this time.
The board tabled three requests from circuit judges for raises for their clerks and court administrators until the board receives a bottom line cost of what they are being asked to approve.
The board voted to go forward with issuing the RFP for the lease or sale of Greenwood Leflore Hospital. District 5 supervisor Robert Collins told the board that he doesn't know what is in the proposed RFP, which has not been disclosed to the general public yet.

Back in open session, the board voted to release just under $3.3 million of the $10 million loan fund to the Greenwood Leflore Hospital for the payment of payroll expenses.
The board voted to set up a meeting with the city council, the hospital board and management, and all the various consultants. No date was set, but the board wants to hold the meeting sometime next week. The supervisor board will be in control of the meeting.
