Greenwood City Council

The Greenwood City Council is the legislative body that governs the city of Greenwood. The executive power is held by a Mayor who is elected by the people every four years, along with the seven council members. The City Council generally meets twice each month at the City Hall.

Jackie Lewis presented the work of the Greenwood Catholic Charities regarding drug and alcohol prevention.

Shun Pearson presented the MS Delta Ceasefire initiative and asked for support from the city.

Some dilapidated housing matters were resolved.

The council took up a new ordinance regulating Mobile Food Vending.

Several grant opportunities were addressed by the council.
