Tuesday, April 16, 2019, 10:21 pm News Flash Archive

At tonight's Greenwood Leflore Hospital board of trustee meeting, it was reported that in March, the hospital lost $317,641.

For the first half of this fiscal year (which began October 1, 2018), the hospital lost $2,778,867.

Interim CEO Subho Basu gave a long presentation explaining the services and benefits of the consultant Vizient. Many cost savings and revenue enhancements are claimed by Vizient, but the hospital has paid the consultant a little over $1.4 million so far.

The Board went into executive session for an hour, excluding the public and the press from the meeting.
