Yesterday, November 22, was the deadline for filing an election contest for the county judge election.
Fred Clark, who lost the election by 10 votes to incumbent Kevin Adams, had told the Greenwood Commonwealth that he would be filing an election contest early this week.
MCA Section 23-15-951 states that "a person desiring to contest the election of another person returned as elected to any office within any county, may, within twenty (20) days after the election, file a petition in the office of the clerk of the circuit court of the county, setting forth the grounds upon which the election is contested...."
The election was held November 2; therefore, Monday the 22nd was the last day in which a contest could be filed.
According to the Circuit Clerk's office this morning, no papers contesting the election have been received from Mr. Clark.
