December 17th, MS Supreme Court Chief Justice William Waller appointed Judge R. Kenneth Coleman to hear the election contest filed by Fred Clark against Judge Kevin Adams. Judge Adams won the election by ten votes.

Judge Coleman, who is retired and on senior judge status, is from New Albany, Mississippi. The court generally appoints judges from outside the district involved in the election contest.
