Yesterday, the Mississippi Supreme Court filed its order denying Preston Ratliff's emergency appeal and motion for stay in the election contest proceedings between himself and Anjuan Brown.

Last Tuesday, Special Judge Chaney ordered Anjuan Brown's name placed on the ballot pending resolution of the election contest for the Democrat nomination for District 3 supervisor.

Late that same day, Ratliff's attorney Willie Perkins filed a motion with the Supreme Court to appeal and for an emergency stay of Judge Chaney's order.
