The agenda for Tuesday's City Council meeting has been published, and once again, the "Sign Ordinance" is listed on the study agenda for consideration.

The Sign Ordinance was last on the Agenda in early July, but it was withdrawn after a storm of protest from merchants. Concerns were also expressed by myself and newspaper commentators, who raised questions about restrictions on free speech and discrimination based upon content and ownership of the signs.

When The Taxpayers Channel asked Mayor McAdams to forward us a copy of the new proposal, she replied that she would be happy to do so Tuesday after the council members have a chance to review it.

Thus, persons outside of city hall have not yet been informed what the proposed ordinance would outlaw.

Mayor McAdams informed TTC late this afternoon that it would not be voted upon until the November 5th meeting.
