The Taxpayers Channel has now posted part 1 of the video of Dr. Arnold Smith's preliminary hearing this morning in the Leflore County Court.

Dr. Smith is charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit murder and one count of capital murder in an attempt against the life of local attorney Lee Abraham. Judge Kevin Adams presided over the hearing.

Greenwood police Detective Jeff Byars was examined by the DA's office, and he presented photographs and a video that depicted the weapon used, the ski mask, and an audio/video recording of Dr. Smith and Keaira Byrd speaking about their plan to assassinate Mr. Abraham. In the recording, Dr. Smith demands that Mr. Byrd provide him with proof that he has kill Mr. Abraham, stating that he wants a picture of Lee with a bullet hole in his head. Smith and Byrd also discuss the payment by Smith of $20,000 for the hit.
